Here are the Lyrics…Breathe by Michael W. Smith
This is the air I breathe
This is the air I breathe
Your Holy presence
Living in me…This is my daily bread
This is my daily bread
Your very word
spoken to me…And I, I’m desperate for You
And I, I’m lost without You.This is the air I breathe
This is the air I breathe
Your Holy presence
Living in meThis is my daily bread
This is my daily bread
Your very word
spoken to me.And I, I’m desperate for You
And I, I’m lost without You.
And I, I’m desperate for You
And I, I’m lost without You.And I, I’m lost without You.
And I, I’m lost without You.And I, I’m desperate for You
And I, I’m desperate for You
Classic Awesome Song…
I’ve heard that song many times. Indeed its been around many, many years. It’s always reminded me, or made me think of “breathing” in God’s word. As in their life giving, and life changing. And how truly desperate I can become to just soak in God’s life-giving and life changing presence. True. So, very true.
Epiphany
Yet, I heard it recently and a new thought occurred to me. When we breathe, we inhale. THEN, we exhale. In my epiphany, the thought struck me that as we are “breathing in” God’s life-giving and changing words…. What is happening when we “breathe out”? Is what we are releasing back into our surroundings “life-giving and life changing”? Is it??? If not, how can we change it? Simply some worthy food for thought. Let me know what you think. I would love to hear your thoughts on the song, and the subject.
For You
Meanwhile, I want you to know you are so very loved. Yes. YOU. Every soul on this planet is a valuable piece to the puzzle of our existence worldwide. Your gifts, talents, looks, emotions, dreams, passions, and every other aspect that makes you YOU. All of those aspects are highly needed and non-expendable in the environment you reside within. Never, ever discount the value of your contribution. It doesn’t matter how big or small that contribution is. Nor does it matter what others say. You are valuable. You and your contributions, no matter how small, do make a difference.
So, embrace all that you are, the good, the bad, and the ugly. Breathe in. Breathe out. Give a good return on what you’ve received. Be life-giving. Go, be the life changing influence in the world around you. Be you!
As always, thanks for stopping by. Talk to you soon!
