Random Thoughts 20.2

Oh, the random thoughts that are crowding my head! Okay. So, it hasn’t been very long since my last random thoughts post. (Whatever.) Although, I did get a really late start on that this year. Regardless, you guessed it, another round of random thoughts from your quirky friend are headed your way.

Oh, where to begin! Wait. I know…

~ First and foremost, an amazingly good snack is a fresh apple eaten in conjunction with a couple of peanut butter cups. Yum! There ya go! Now you know what to snack on the next time you need a little something to eat.

PSA ~ Do not drive slower than the rest of traffic when you’re in the “fast” lane of the road you’re on. For that matter, don’t perform any other means of intentionally slowing the flow of traffic. (You know who you are, and you know what you do. Lol) All of us speedy peeps will greatly appreciate it. And it will hopefully keep the tailgating peeps off your bumper. Please and thank you! Your efforts to help us are greatly appreciated.

~ “Hope is an end unto itself, a renewable source of energy inside of each of us, a fragile thing that can be damaged with our darkest thoughts, dimmed almost to darkness, but never completely extinguished.” ~ A.G. Riddle

~ Need a swimsuit??? I was scoping out Amazon sales promotions and found MARINAVIDA is offering 78% off some cute two-piece swimsuits on Amazon. (Must click one of the highlighted links provided. Offer valid until 07/12/2020 11:59PM PDT or while supplies last.)

~ Another pet-peeve, if you will… Please, please, do not stand behind others while they’re working. (Yeah. That bothers the bejeezus out of me. It’s very distracting and does not “make me” work faster. It actually slows me down and ticks me off. Smh…)

~ Be kind. Be random. Show love to those who least expect it.

~ Wait! Prefer a one-piece swimsuit? MARINAVIDA is also offering 70% off on equally cute women’s one-piece swimsuits on Amazon. (Must click one of the highlighted links provided. Offer valid until 07/22/2020 11:59PM PDT or while supplies last.)

~ (On that speeding in traffic thing…. If we get pulled over then that speeding ticket was fully earned by us “lead-foot” peeps. And, consequently, those fines are solely ours as well. See? You’re completely off the hook. Well, unless you’d like to pull over with us and assume all responsibility for our speedy habits. THEN, by all means, feel free to help control our speed. Otherwise, pull aside kindly. Thank you. Lol)

~ “Spiritual Fathers & Mothers teach you how to fight your battles! Your Spiritual Brothers and Sisters go through the fight with you! And, Spiritual Sons and Daughters inherit your breakthrough as you impart your victories!” ~ Jesse Mitchell

~ On another note, I’ve been wondering about something. What is the general age to trust your kiddo with a cellular phone of their own? In today’s society, I’m thinking somewhere between the ages of 10 and 13 years old. Of course, it very much depends on their individual situation and their maturity level. I was “forward” thinking in giving my boys phones at about 16-17 years old. But, that was almost 20 years ago. (Wow! It’s been a while! Lol) So, what do you think an appropriate age range is?

~ Another good deal on Amazon is 53% off on select The Good Stuff products like this watercolor brush pen set. (Must click on highlighted link provided. Offer valid until 07/29/2020 11:59PM PDT or while supplies last.)

~ We lost a family member to lung cancer this week. Life is short. Stay in touch with those you care about, even if its limited to a “quarantine” Zoom call. You never know when it will be too late to see them or talk with them.

~ The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched, they must be felt with the heart. — Helen Keller

~ Are you aware of social media platforms gaining in popularity? Sites like Parler and WeMe are giving Facebook viable competition. For that matter, DailyMotion is a popular alternative to YouTube. Check them out, and let me know what you think of them. I’m curious to know your thoughts.

~ Did you know that if you have a bitter cucumber you can still salvage it? Yep. just slice off the end. Then take the end peice and rub it against the end of the cucumber you just removed it from. Rub it in a circular motion until it starts to “foam”. This will be a fine liquidy foam appearing along the edges as you rub the two parts together. Repeat with the other end. I’m not sure why it works, but it does! (I’m sure there’s a nice little scientific-y explanation for it.) But, don’t toss those bitter cucumbers until you give this trick a try.

~ Be happy for this moment. This moment is your life. — Omar Khayyam

~ Did you know that naproxen sodium and ibuprofen can cause swelling in the extremeties? Yep. It’s true. According to the Mayo Clinic, NSAIDS are a known causal agent when it comes to swelling in the hands, arms, feet, and legs.

Celebration PSA ~ Do Not use hand sanitizer while lighting fireworks. That alcohol containing sanitizer could be a little dangerous around all those sparks! Don’t you think? Regardless, you’ve been warned! You’re welcome.

There ya go! Hope you’ve enjoyed the latest random thoughts by “your’s truly”!

May all of you have an amazing week ahead doing all the random things that make you happy!
