It has been an rough few weeks, and the encouragement and prayers of my friends has been vital. It made me think of how we impact each other, and how truly important our friends are in the grand scheme of things. Our good friends really do impact us in vital ways. And for that we are forever grateful.
Then I got to thinking that you, my wonderful blogging community, could probably use some encouragement and prayer as well. So, what I have I give to you. This post is for you.
May you be blessed and encouraged.
“Now the Word of the Lord came to me saying: ‘Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you. And before you were born, I consecrated you. I have appointed you a prophet to the nations.’ ” ~ Jeremiah 1:4-5
These are astounding verses that convey that God knew you, planned for you, and loved you before you were even a twinkle in your dad’s eye.
God never does anything haphazardly. He is thoughtful, deliberate, and pure in all His endeavors. And His highest accomplishment in making all the galaxies is His creation of you, my friend. God made you in His own image (Genesis 1:27). No other creation in heaven or on earth enjoys this privilege. You are indeed uniquely you.
You are as important to God as the Sun, the Moon, and the stars all put together!
You came into this world with a beautiful, prearranged plan for your life. It was backed up with a set of gifts that the Lord meticulously placed inside of you. Those gifts are meant to accomplish His desired plan for you.
No matter how humble your beginnings were, God was working your future into magnificence. Even a baby that is formed in the womb by rape is given no less loving attention by God for a wonderful purpose in life that will give him, or her, a future filled with hope. Look at James Robinson’s life, who was the product of rape. James has helped many people and reflected the Lord through his gifts playing out around the world.
Jeremiah understood all about God’s prearranged plans firsthand & explains this with such clarity in Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the plans and thoughts that I have for you,’ says the Lord, ‘plans for peace and well-being and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.”
Even before you were born God knew you (loved you); consecrated you (set you apart); and appointed you (gave you authority) for greatness. Only God’s pre-established plans for you can produce a deep satisfaction in your soul as you chose to fulfill the purpose for which God designed for you and you alone. Anything less is a cheap substitute, and will fall far short of the treasure of your gifted potential.
Lord, I thank You that You understand every fiber of this reader’s being because You created them, body, soul & mind. You have loved them since before they were born. You are even now watching over them and their gifts. And You have declared victory for their plans as You send them to the nations as Your ambassador. (We know and understand that their “nations” can be their work place, family, neighborhood, their city and beyond.) Your compassion surging through their veins are summoning the completion of ALL that has been written in their book of destiny in heaven.
Your Spirit overflows in them like a river, watering the nations.
Let Your fire burn in them with such a passion that it will propel them to continue to tell the nations of Your incomparable tender mercies, Your goodness, and Your loving kindness. Thank You that You are smiling, singing, and dancing (Zeph 3:17) over them as one of Your favorites. Because of You they will finish their life stronger with You than how they began it. You have given them a double portion of Your strength and wisdom; because they trust in You and are willingly following Your wonderful plan for their life. We adore You Lord for Your honorable plans that will benefit them, their family, friends, community, and even the nations of this world. Thank you, Lord, for all You Are and all You do, In Jesus mighty name we pray. Amen.
