Merry Musical Christmas Everybody!

Well, merry or not, we’ve made it into the belly of the Christmas season. (Hopefully, without any arguments like the one I discussed in a blog last year.) It’s less than a week before the big day. And the craziness of holiday shopping is hitting its peak this weekend. So, throw caution to the wind. Go ahead and crank up the holiday music!

Here I’ve put together a collection of “different” holiday songs. Or, some Christmas songs done with a slightly different twist. (Well, different to me anyway. Lol!) From soft to metal, they’re all quite good in their own right. So, without further ado…. Enjoy!

Joy to the World by Orion’s Reign with Minniva

Despite the heavy metal band, this is not a traditional heavy metal song. I believe they classified it as a “symphonic heavy metal version”. Regardless, it’s quite good. And Minniva’s voice is amazing!

Now to slow it down with…

The Wexford Carol by Alison Krauss and Yo Yo Ma

Then, of course, we have to have some Pentatonix…

Silent Night by Pentatonix

With all the holiday hub-bub, and rushing to and fro, it can get quite overwhelming at times. The other day, I heard this song on the radio and it definitely resonated. I bet you’ll agree!

I Need a Silent Night by Amy Grant

With that in mind, what would it really be like to have a truly silent night? Hmmm…. If so, then there’s the “sound of silence” to consider.

The Sound of Silence by Pentatonix

But, I digress. Let’s get back to Christmas music and celebrating sweet baby Jesus. Here’s a good one by Francesca Battistelli.

This next one is fun, and I love the visuals in the video!

It’s Christmas Time feat. Dan Caplen ~ Macklemore

I’ll leave you with that visual. May your holiday with family, friends, and co-workers be filled with peace, joy, and lots of music. And may you create many fond memories you can hold dear to your heart.

Merry Christmas Everybody!!!
