With all the political upheaval and uncertainty currently happening in the United States, I’ve been returning to the basics and counting my blessings. Yes, there is a lot of evil in this world. But, there is also a whole heck of a lot more good out there. I guarantee it! After all, good always overcomes evil.
With that focus in mind, I’m keeping this week’s post short. (You’re welcome. Lol!) But, first, did you know that in the Bible the longevity of blessings outweigh curses? Its true! Check out the scriptures below.
“for I the Lord your God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generation of those who hate Me, [Isa. 42:8; 48:11.] But showing mercy and steadfast love to a thousand generations of those who love Me and keep My commandments.
Exodus 20:5-6 (Emphasis mine)
“Behold, today I am setting before you a blessing and a curse—” Deuteronomy 11:26
“I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live;” Deuteronomy 3-:19 (For full context see Deuteronomy 30:11-20.)
Ultimately, the choice is yours. The choices you make in your daily life either invite blessings upon you or curses. (Check out my previous posts about choices here and here.)
Ultimately, I cannot answer for you. But, for me and my house we choose to invite life and blessings every chance we get. And, although I may not have much, I can share what I do have. Blessings from my home to yours.
A Blessing For You And Your Home
May Yahweh bless you and protect you;
May Yahweh make His face shine on you and be gracious to you;
(Yes) May Yahweh look with favor on you and give you peace. Numbers 6:24-26
